Thermographic Technology   A picture is worth a 1,000 words

What is seen by the naked eye…
A set of fuses in working condition.

What a Thermography Scan finds…
A fuse that is overheating and about to fail.

The human eye is only capable of seeing surface images. Thermography is the use of a professional infrared imaging camera that detects and measures thermal energy emitted from an object. Thermal (or infrared) energy is light that is not visible to the naked eye because its wavelength is too long for our eyes to be able to detect it. It is part of the electromagnetic spectrum we perceive as heat.

Everything around us emits heat. Even very cold objects (like ice) emit infrared radiation. The higher the object’s temperature is, the greater the infrared radiation emitted will be. Thermal imaging cameras allow us to see what our eyes cannot, by producing images of invisible heat radiation and providing precise non-contact temperature measurement capabilities.

Virtually all mechanical or electrical components change temperature before they fail; making the infrared technology used by our business, an extremely cost effective diagnostic tool that can be used in a diverse multitude of applications.

Electrical connections, switches, breakers, motors, bearings, etc. typically don’t go bad instantly. This happens over time. With the proper predictive maintenance program, these problems can be detected and corrected earlier during scheduled downtime versus being forced to have maintenance workers fixing them during valuable production time.
